The objective of the Technology Pole is to promote development and stimulate regional growth, invigorating and articulating technology supply and demand through coordinated public, private, academic and scientific activities with a view to achieving the better insertion of local and regional enterprises in the national and international economy. 
 Read more... |  In February 2004 the municipal government of Bahía Blanca proposed the creation of a Technology Pole, convening the academic-scientific community and the business sector to discuss the form, profile and objectives of such entity. After putting in place measures to promote the initiative, the Technology Pole was eventually established through a process entailing the close involvement and interaction of all stakeholders, taking full advantage of lessons learned from past attempts to introduce similar instruments.
